Duralight Plastics stocks a 100% silicone sealant designed specifically for plastic sheet applications. This product is a strong and effective primary sealant, has excellent weathering properties, and will maintain a weathertight seal for many years.
It is highly recommended to only use a 100% silicone sealant on polycarbonate sheets. Using the wrong sealant may cause serious sheet degradation, cracking around the screws, and/or a condition called ‘crazing’. Make sure to check the manufacturers label before using it to confirm the sealant is compatible with polycarbonate!
